"You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved."

Who will be your photographer?

Get to know me a little more

My name is Jennifer. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. I spent many childhood years traveling around to various lakes in Minnesota fishing and camping with family. I also spent my college days in North Dakota (loving the cold and snow)! This heartland of America is home.

I consider photography fine art. My favorite sessions are family, pet, and weddings. And my favorite style of photography is lifestyle - the kind where you're not posed for a magazine.

Get to know the studio experience

I take extra time and effort in trying to get to know you and anyone else you have with you before the session. I use the invaluable information I gather to help make each session unique and tailored to each of my clients. This means you'll have a beautiful gallery to enjoy!

I also offer limited sessions throughout the year. The time and work I put into each session means I can only do so many! So don't hesitate to contact me to start the process (you don't want to lose your perfect date)!

Trust me, I know how much you won't want to forget a minute.

Meet the muses that started the studio

Sky

aka Sky-Roo, BabyGirl, Miss Sky, FlufferPupper, Miss Sassafrass, Princess

This is Sky. She chose to adopt us from the Sioux Falls Humane Society. As a husky, she was full of sass and sweetness and so much ENERGY. As our first, she taught us that walks are never too long. She really ruled the house, we didn't. And unless we had a very very good treat, she wasn't budging in her opinion or actions. Even though she was around 2 years of age when she adopted us, she still very much had her puppy days right up until the end (when she was just 10 years old). And she taught us how unconditional dogs' love for us can change our lives forever. We love her more than the sky could hold. And miss her every day.

Mand'alor (the Fluffiest)

aka Mando, Mando the Floofiest, Thiefy Nugget, LandShark, MandoBaby, BabyBoy

This is Mando. He stole our hearts all the way from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota (near Rapid City). Luckily, a wonderful rescue called Oglala Pet Project introduced us. As a mixed breed that is mostly Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and Belgian Malinois, we have learned so much raising him from puppyhood. Like nothing isn't tasty to him (he eats everything). Paper is the worst enemy. Ball is LIFE (my arm muscles are built just from playing never-ending fetch). He learns super fast. And snuggles at night are the best.

Never has he had a better job given to him than protecting and helping teach his newest little sister, Amaya.

Amaya

aka Amaya-Boo, My-Amaya, Chicken Tender, Carpet Shark, MIss Ma'am

This is Amaya. She is named after General Amaya from "The Dragon Prince" series on Netflix. She is also our first foster puppy and first foster-fail. She also came from a reservation in South Dakota, rescued for a better life.

As we were going through the heartbreaking process of losing our Sky to cancer, Amaya never failed to be there for us. While also part husky, she reminds us so much of Sky but has her very own special personality. She loves to dig holes in the backyard, run zoomies and jump over her brother Mando, and cuddle up with the best snuggles at the end of the day.
